Educational Qualification:

- B.Tech / BE in Mechanical or MARINE ENGINEERING or equivalent

Experience: 5-7 years

Professional Skills / Experience:

- Experience in selection of propulsion & auxiliary machinery and equipment for installation on ships / offshore structure

- Experience in Piping System Design for a Ship / Offshore platforms / Jack up rigs as per Classification Rules & Statutory Regulations / API / ANSI Codes

- Awareness of ASME, IBR, NACE standards and material of construction of Pipes, Fittings and valves, Insulation etc.

- Capable of checking and reviewing piping documents

- Exposure to commissioning activities in a shipyard / offshore platform

- Exposure to fabrication /manufacturing /construction in a project

- Operational & maintenance experience on ships / offshore vessel

Job Responsibilities:

- Assessment of Machinery installation for compliance with Rules & regulations and integration with the top-side

- Estimation of performance characteristics of propulsion & auxiliary machinery under given loads.

- Estimation of MTBF & reliability of the machinery & equipment

- Preparation of single line diagrams of piping systems for approval by classification society / statutory body

- Assessment of Fire-fighting systems for Offshore Installations as per applicable Codes.

IT Skills:

- FEM software e.g. ANSYS / IDEAS

- Flow analysis software e.g. FLUENT / ANSYS-CFX

- Torsional Vibration calculations using Excel

- Proficiency in MS-OFFICE EXCEL (with VB Micros), WORD & POWERPOINT

- MATLAB extertise desirable

Additional Responsibility:

- Coordination with team members for Technical Appraisal of Project.

- Prepare Purchase Requisition (PR) for the upcoming Kattupalli yard.

- Preparing documents for Expression of Interest (EOI) / Bidding for tenders.

Assisting Immediate Superior in various functional

Job Profile:

Scheduling & Installing the job within estimated costs/time schedules.

Supervise/Monitor the Process & organizing stores.

Management of subcontractor, his team & material.

Preparing a monthly projection of job completion, inspection & handover.

Monitoring the Project: Site Activity Management, Preliminary site preparation etc.

Planning right tools for projects & Manpower planning

Ensuring for safety in sites.

Cost control in the Projects.

Organizing for Administrative activities of the department.

Customer interaction.

Coordinating with various departments.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

Support EH&S efforts of the department and ensure implementation of EH&S Management systems and other local standards.

Participate and facilitate participation of employees in the department in EH&S training as per EH&S plan.

Conduct EH&S inspection/audit as per assigned quota and ensure completion of corrective actions within targeted completion date.

Candidate Profile Qualifications:

Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical with min 2 yrs of exp in construction or Site.

Experience:

2-5 years of experience in project Management and handling site.
