Job Description
At a top level, a PME would be responsible for three stages of a new product life cycle, which will be initiation, ramp up and growth.

At the initiation stage a PME with collaborate with the technical product management team and other stake holders to define and validate the product strategy and direction.



At this stage, a PME will also be required to make build vs buy decisions for specific components or modules along with other stake holders.

PME of the new product will also sign up existing and/or new customers for co-development partnerships of the specific products.

End objectives, of such products is to ensure that these product meets the expectations of the target market and have a set of qualified and strong references.

A this stage, a PME is also expected to define and validate positioning, differentiators, key messages and a go-to-market plan for the product.

At this stage a PME is expected to collaborate with technical product management, marketing and sales leadership of Zycus and key customer decision makers (CFO, CPO or equivalent) from Fortune 1000 companies.

The launch or the ramp up process starts with budgeting and planning.

A PME is expected to work with Marcom to plan the demand generation, public relations and analyst relation programs for the product.

A PME is expected to be the spokes person for the products to the analysts and media community. He/She will be required to do global road shows along with Marcom Director/VP to launch the product to Industry Analyst community.

At this stage a PME is also expected to help the AR/PR team create thought leadership pieces like white papers, by-lined articles, ebooks (or books) etc.

One of the other key requirements at this stage is that of sales enablement - A PME is expected to create sales tools like price books, presentations, documents, demo scripts and use them to train the global sales team.

He/She is also expected to ensure that there is 100% adoption of all the tools/collaterals/sales strategies by the sales team.

A PME in the ramp up phase also works closely with the sales and delivery team to identify gaps/hot spots/short falls in the product, value messaging or the sale process on a periodic basis.

He/She use this feedback along with the pipeline analysis to ensure sales confidence and meet the threshold criteria of new customer acquisition.

A PME is supposed to work closely with the sales and pre-sales team and travel extensively to global locations.

He/She would also work with the AR team in ensuring that we get a leadership positions in the Gartner magic quadrants and Forrester wave.

At the growth phase a PME would ensure that an individual product gains a leadership position. He/She will achieve it through regular market research, customer feedback and competitive.

At this point, a PME will track and manage competitive win rates in specific customer/geographical segments.

At this stage, a PME will also regularly analyze and manage average revenue per customer and will create value added services around the product to increase average selling price.

He/She will also work with Strategic Alliances team to create and manage partnership programs with big 4 management consulting firm, System Integrators and value added resellers (VARs).
