Role in the organization :
1. Develop action plans to ensure accurate and timely execution
2. Understand the job requirements and communicate to all concerned
3. Head a team and meet targets
4. Quality checking of design / drawings of structures as per specified procedure
5. Understand design / drafting norms
6. Subordinate Development (develop Design Engineers to check
designs, acting as Mentor for Junior / Trainee Engineers)
7. Assist Project Coordinator and Senior Manager in preparing plan of work and other reports
Following are the major tasks and responsibilities:
1. Allocating designs / drafting to juniors / Cad Operators
2. Providing necessary inputs to enable them to do the allocated work.
3. Checking of designs prepared by juniors
4. Re-checking of drawings checked by the Design Engineers
6. Internal Co-ordination and participation in meetings
7. Interaction with clients
8. Guiding Design Engineers and Cad Operators in their assignments
9 Maintaining check records
10. Checking / Verification / Approval (Validation) as outlined in the Plan of Work.
11. Maintaining design documents / input data till job closure
12. Ensure timely completion of checking and releasing the drawings as per schedule.
13. Ensure quality control and productivity
14. Optimum utilization of software
15. Assist Project Co-ordinator and HODs in preparing action plans and related project work
16. Implementation of ISO procedures
17. Plan and organize day to day work
18. Site visits, if required.

Reports required to be generated:
1. Design checking activities versus actual achieved – monthly
2. Corrective Actions taken – monthly
3. Feedback on rolling plan – monthly
4. Assessment on Design Engineers and Cad Operators worked with during the assessment year –
(After the completion of the project or six monthly whichever is earlier)
5. Site visit report
Candidate Profile Candidates with minimum 4-12 years of experience into Industrial Structural Design Engineers
Must be a BE/ME- Civil
Salary Rs 5,00,000 PA - Rs 12,00,000 PA
