Department : Compliance

Designation : Deputy Manager/Manager - Compliance

Reporting to : Head - Compliance

Job Purpose :

To assess and be responsible for the compliance readiness of products/processes (for which the individual is responsible from the compliance perspective), keeping in view the requirements under the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1952, Exchange’s Bye laws, Rules, Regulations and directions of the Regulator.

Principal Accountabilities :

Core functions :

Monitor all aspects of commodities and functions/processes assigned to the person.
Follow up with Forward Markets Commission for obtaining approvals for contracts, changes in contract specifications and clarify any queries that the regulator may have.
Interact with officials of the government and the regulators, wherever required.

Process/Operational:

Identify critical compliance areas for close monitoring.
Develop systems and processes for adhering to compliance requirements
Updation and maintenance of physical records overall ownership for all the compliance related matters on the website
Prepare regular reports/MIS and analysis for CEO/senior management/FMC for effective compliance mechanism.

Managerial :

To be aware of the developments in the area of the products/processes assigned to the person for arriving at a reasonable decision

Develop knowledge of markets/other exchanges – both national and international
Implementation of controls

Ensure adherence to compliance matters

Education and Experience :

Professional qualifications - Chartered Accountants/Company Secretaries or post graduates in law from reputed institutes Around 3 to 4 years work experience in securities, financial services, mutual funds or insurance companies

Skills :

Self-motivated and able to work with large groups of persons working in the organization.

· Proactive and result oriented.

· Analytical ability and an eye for detail.

· Good execution skills

· Strong communications skill

· To share learning and develop/communicate best practice across various groups

· Satisfy company and national regulatory standards
